SAMSUNG GLOBAL: IMPLEMENTING ECOMMERCE
PROBLEM: Most of Samsung's Global websites were "brochureware"--they showed information about the products, but users could not buy the majority of the products from those sites.
Samsung was launching a new global platform (GPV2) that enabled users to purchase the products directly from Samsung. Samsung needed a lead UX designer to work with the team to create design the sites for the various countries. This meant meeting local customer services, legal and brand standards.
MY ROLE: I led our global UX team in Seattle and worked with them to create the UI for cart, checkout, payments, delivery and installation, purchase confirmation and the account interface for the UK, Belgium/Netherlands, France, Italy and Canada.
PROJECT LENGTH: 10 - 16 weeks per country.
