AMAZON PRIME PANTRY: VISUAL DESIGN


Amazon Prime Pantry launched three months prior to my arrival, so it was a very new offering for Amazon. They needed definition around the styles for consistency especially because marketing materials, such as banners, that would be created by other teams at Amazon.
BRAND GUIDELINES
One of my on-going tasks was to create these Brand Guidelines to define the styles for internal and external audiences.
Pretty standard stuff; how to use the logo, the colors, palette, photography, ... I have worked on style guides for other companies including Getty Images while I was there.

PHOTO SHOOT
When food is the subject it is important not to look stale, so Pantry had a budget for photo shoots to "refresh" the images.
Over two days we shot seven image categories. I created the sketches and the product lists; helped pick location, photographer and stylist; art directed the shoot, and gave feedback for photoshop edits.
