AMAZON PANTRY:
SHOPPING LISTS
PROBLEM: Shopping Lists was the first new feature after Pantry launched. It was the most requested feature by customers. The lists helped to automatically partially fill a Pantry Box with contents based on a theme, such as "cleaning supplies".
MY ROLE: As the only designer on the team, I did the visual design, the layouts, created brand guidelines and art directed photoshoots. For "lists" specifically I created the layout with business partners, suggested box themes to stakeholders, created lists of SKUs for boxes and worked with the development team to build the feature.
SOLUTION: At launch, Prime Pantry Shopping Lists were pre-made lists the customers could select from and edit. Eventually the lists were to be created by the customers and preserved in their account information.
RESULTS: The initial response generated positive sales immediately. Additionally the lists exposed the breadth of the Pantry assortment to customers.
